Market

Economic crisis & package
V.L. Schreder, JSC «Ukrplastic», Kiev
The author gives details about the processes that take place during and after the end of the world's financial and economic crises. In this article the author gives an analysis of the many innovations in the field of packaging, packaging materials and technologies that were introduced during the Great Depression. Consider the major impact that packaging is in a period of economic crisis. The author shows how with the changing structure of the package. Preference is given to the package, which will have the lowest prices.

Innovations in packaging (international experience)

Material

Bioplastic packaging materials
P.V. Zamotayev, Dr., HG Consulting, Kyiv
The problem of plastics, including the box in their waste disposal. Unfortunately, as required for product durability rotating waste plastics significant disadvantage. The article made an analysis of natural and synthetic polymers used to manufacture packaging. Author showed prospects of bioplastics, determined the basic parameters and characteristics that contribute to biological decomposition. The article suggested the distribution of bio plastics by means of their production.

Cationizing starches and their influence on cellulose fiber
L.P. Antonenko, A.D. Bilan, National Technical University of Ukraine «KPI», Kyiv
The investigations of this article are at the sphere of the development of cationizing methods of corn and potato starches by accessible reagents and research of their influence on cellulose fiber. The influence of nitrogen consistence in these glues on their viscidity, and the expenditure of cationized glues on subnet waters’ dimness, the speed of cellulose mass dehydration on the net, physical and mechanical characteristics of cellulose casts are studied. The necessity of received glues’ use for the amelioration of the paper production quality is shown.

Myths about nanomaterials and nanotechnology in packaging
G.L. Ryabtsev, Dr., I.O. Mikulenok, Dr., Y.V. Mazepa, National Technical University of Ukraine «KPI», Kiev
Nanotechnology - it is all the technology of objects, their properties are determined by the consumer through the control and manipulation of individual atoms, molecules and supramolecular entities. Today, the main problem is the commercialization of nanotechnology and development of ideas. Therefore, often for nanotechnology is the production of nanopowders.
This article provides an analysis of studies, they revealed the essence of nanotechnology, and ways of development. They are used in the manufacture of packaging materials.

Packaging

Packaging for grocery products (status and prospects of development)
V.N. Kryvoshey, Dr., IAC «Upakovka», Kiev
The article presents an analysis of the Ukrainian market of grocery products: flour, salt, sugar, cereals and pasta, tomato paste, mayonnaise, sauces based on them, eggs. The author identifies trends in the development of each of the products analyzed package to the investigated products. Based on the structure and parameters of the package for grocery products the author has calculated the quantity of consumer and transport packaging, packaging materials for its manufacture.

Technology

The energy of dissipation in the packing
S.O. Pavlov, A.I. Sokolenko, Dr., K.V. Vasylkivsky, Dr., V.A. Poddubny, Dr., National University of Food Technologies, Kiev
Links mechanisms packaging equipment deformed under the action of force factors. This is accompanied by a transformation of elastic strain energy in the heat dispersion from the last in the environment. In this article the authors present the results of studies on the energy cost during elastic vibrations in technical systems.

Analytical studies and simulation of food cutting
V.S. Guts, Dr., O.O. Gubenya, Dr., National University of Food Technologies, Kiev, O.A. Koval, Dr., Kiev National Trade and Economic University
The cutting process can be described as a blade motion in a product layer. The influence of the adhesion and friction force on the cutting force values has been evaluated. The values of the bread cutting force have derived. The experimental data suggested correspondence of the mathematical model. The application of the theoretical and experimental assays allow optimize a cutting process and use the cutting force value as a measure of product consistency.

Equipment

Differentiation operations group packing
A.N. Gavva, Dr., National University of Food Technologies, Kiev, V.V. Khalaydzhi, IAC «Upakovka», Kiev, A.I. Volchko, Dr., National University of Food Technologies, Kiev
The article made an analysis of technological schemes lines for group packing packing units, processing packaging, which comes from a few of packing machines. The authors noted that today there is no method of determining the rational moving speed of bearing elements as feeds and the main conveyors, and a method of determining rational, kinematic and power parameters of the device over the packing units with the feeds on the main conveyor.
The authors proposed for the assessment methods use the theory of mass service. The authors are installed dependences to the possible collision of packaging units in the main line of the speed of the conveyor carrying element and the number of conveyors.
