Results of carried out researches with use of straw fibrous half-finished products in composition of paper and cardboard products are given in present article. Due to the results of researches it is found that usage of straw unbleached neutral sulfite pulp in composition of different cardboard and paper allows to improve substantially the physic-mechanical indexes of paper- cardboard products and to reduce their cost as compared with usage of wood cellulose. Some aspects of packaging machines improvement with the aim of these problems elimination are given in the article. Meir “Packaging equipment market in Ukraine” was published in first issue/2004 in the magazine “Upakovka”. The material of the article is presented from a point of view of person from the country with the advanced market economy. Article has caused ambiguous opinions, therefore editorship of magazine has made decision to continue an exchange of opinions on a status and perspectives of development of the market of the packing equipment in Ukraine on the pages of magazine. The analysis of containers of the domestic production and samples of the foreign companies being in the market is made. It is shown that this requirement is achieved rather not always. The reasons are presence of the casual moulds at the plants, the limited opportunities of the available equipment, not understanding current situation by marketing, sales and logistic services. As a result, variations of values of industrial packaging weight of one capacity make up 25-30 %. Unfortunately, manufacturing of large-sized containers in Ukraine is dictated not so much by market consumers, as by industrial and financial opportunities of producers. Packing as a product at all stages of its life cycle carries out its the primary goal - delivering the goods and products from the manufacturer to the consumer lost-free and without damages. Besides packing acts as the marketing tool, provides expansion of sales volumes, perspective development and the profit earning. Cost of packing lays on the basis of these tasks. Identification of packing, being shown through self-descriptiveness, allows the consumer to find out about products and the goods as much as possible. It is offered to consider the general rules of usage of packing, as marketing tool by the example of cosmetic goods in the article. The characteristic of the cosmetic market of Ukraine and the tendency of its development is mentioned.

Methods of experimental investigations of properties of various PETF compositions are given in the article.
